Message from the New Lawyer Division

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all having a good May. Spring has sprung, and the NLD is in full swing. We’ve got lots of exciting events happening this year from mentoring events and discussions with members of the legal fraternity. Whether you’ve attended an event, connected with colleagues, or are just getting involved, we’re glad to have you with us.

Our goal is to support new attorneys in building their practices, expanding their networks, and navigating the early stages of their careers here in San Diego. We’re continuing to plan events throughout the year and we hope to see you at some of them in the future.

And thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent “Find Your Pot of Gold” Speed Mentoring program at the Bar Center. This fast-paced evening of small-group conversations, practical advice, and real talk about building a sustainable career was made possible through the NLD’s collaboration with the SDCBA Wellness Committee, reflecting our shared commitment to creating a bar community where new lawyers can thrive both professionally and personally.
